Print CO2 checked

Our printing house was awarded with the ‘print CO2 checked’ certificate on the 13th of October 2010.

Every print production causes emissions. We regularly check and optimize our energy efficiency, but some emissions are still unavoidable. The CO2-quantities of every print job are calculated by a specialized computer and trained personnel. All parameters of the print job – paper production, transport, energy consumption, used materials, waste disposal and behavior patterns of employees – are taken into account.

Since certain emissions are unavoidable for the production of a printing product, we neutralize these emissions by reducing emissions in a different area. CO2 emissions are reduced by investments in climate protection projects. This reduction is calculated against the CO2 emission of the printing production and therefore neutralized.

We invest in domestic and international climate protection projects. To confirm these contributions our clients receive an individual certificate. The strictest monitoring processes guarantee that all made contributions are forwarded to the respective organizations.
